Historical moments were witnessed in the Pediatric Cardiac Health and Surgery Center, which is one of the few units in Turkey within the body of our hospital. Eight babies with congenital heart disease who came to our hospital within 2 days, mostly from outside the province, were reconnected to life with successful heart surgeries. The infants underwent pediatric hypoplastic aortic arch repair, pulmonary atresia, artificial pulmonary artery construction, patent duct closure, and aortic coarctation operations. These surgeries were performed in as little as two days. The surgeries were successful and our babies are being followed up,” he said.
