Duties and authorities of Health Information Systems are as follows:
a) To carry out studies in order to determine the policies, strategies and standards related to information systems and communication technologies used in the field of health,
b) To make and have all kinds of information systems and projects made, including personal health data, country-level health status and data and information flow related to health services,
c) To follow international developments in the field of health information systems and technologies, to cooperate with international organizations when necessary,
ç) To determine the rules to be followed by public and private legal entities and real persons who will work in the field of health informatics and technology, to decide on the suitability of their software and products when necessary, and to authorize their authors,
d) To perform similar duties assigned by the Chief Physician.
