Our Hematology Specialist Prof. Dr. In his evaluation, Abdulkadir BAŞTÜRK stated that the newly established Bone Marrow Transplantation Center has 8 beds and that the center is the first transplant center among the hospitals in the region.

In our Bone Marrow Transplantation Center, transplants are performed for leukemia and lymphoma patients. We performed the transplantation on our first patient four weeks ago.

Prof. said that the most important aspect of the treatment is that all procedures are performed in a sterile environment. Dr. Abdulkadir BAŞTÜRK; "After diagnosing our patient, we started the preparation process. Afterwards, we collected the stem cells and transplanted our patient successfully. Today, we are discharging our patient in a healthy way. There is a possibility that the disease may recur in the future. For this reason, we will follow up our patient when he comes for regular check-ups. Our patient is diagnosed. "Myeloma Disease" is not a well-known disease among the public. It is a disease that requires transplantation as hematological diseases, blood diseases or blood cancer. It causes leukemia, lymphoma and many of their subtypes. The disease we call myeloma is a disease that requires a special bone marrow disease. It is a disease. It is quite rare in society. But when we look at hematological diseases, it constitutes approximately 10 percent of all cancers.

Our patient, whose treatment was completed, stated that he was happy to regain his health and said; "My bones started to ache, I couldn't breathe, I was getting very narrow. When I came to Konya City Hospital, I learned about my disease during the tests. He said, 'I'm very comfortable now, I'm fine.'"
