The "Bone Marrow Transplantation Center", whose inspection was completed by the Ministry of Health, started to serve within our hospital.
Visiting our hospital's Bone Marrow Transplant Center, our Provincial Health Director Prof. Dr. Mehmet KOÇ, Deputy Head of Public Hospitals Services, Mr. Dr. Mustafa PARLAYICI, Chief Physician of our Hospital, Dr. Faculty Member Oğuzhan GÜNENC and the entire hospital management accompanied him.
Our Provincial Health Director, Prof. Dr. Mehmet KOÇ, “Bone Marrow Transplantation Center will eliminate an important deficiency both for our city and the region, and will heal hundreds of patients every year.” He thanked everyone who contributed to the opening of our Bone Marrow Transplant Center.
Emphasizing that high-level treatment practices are carried out successfully in Konya City Hospital, Prof. Dr. Mehmet KOÇ concluded his words by saying, “We will continue to work with our hospital managers resolutely in order to make our Konya City Hospital a leading health center in every field.”
Responsible Physician of our Bone Marrow Transplant Center Prof. Dr. Abdulkadir BAŞTÜRK also stated that they are happy to have such a modern center; “Bone marrow transplantation is an important part of the treatment of blood cancers such as Acute Leukemia, Lymphoma (Lymph Cancer), Multiple Myeloma (MM). We hospitalized our first patient to make pre-transplant preparations. In order to carry out this transfer, it is necessary to have an experienced, certified doctor and nurse, specially equipped devices and a unit. We will perform a bone marrow transplant in the coming days.” He emphasized the importance of our Bone Marrow Transplant Center, which was opened for our city.
